Our Story
Hi! We're Robert and Lisa and we have been traveling as a family since our children were born. We're not travel experts, but we created this space to share our awesome family adventures with you to hopefully help you plan and maximize the time you have with your children.
Our main business is financial media, so we have unique insights on budgeting, travel hacking, and points and miles. We combine that with our love of family roadtrips and unique experiences so that you can learn from our successes and failures.
We hope you find inspiration, tips, and tactics to make your family travels more fun and less hassle.
Who are We?
Robert Farrington is the founder of The College Investor, a leading financial media company that focuses on the intersection of money and education. Lisa is the main editor of The College Investor.
Together, they have two children and live in Southern California.
Our Values
We believe that everyone has their preferences when it comes to travel. There is no right or wrong answer - it's unique to each person.
Some people will value high-end luxury travel, while others will prefer outdoor adventures with only a backpack. Some people fly first class, others fly coach. Everyone has different values when it comes to travel, and that's ok!
While we cannot answer or share examples of every travel style, we foster and encourage everyone's unique viewpoint and ideas.
